NCWNZ – Conference & AGM 2024

Hosted by NCWNZ Christchurch branch

We're excited to host our first in-person conference for several years. We welcome all NCWNZ members across the motu to attend the conference – as well as anyone who is interested in hearing from organisations who support women and girls in Aotearoa.

Hon Nicola Grigg, Minister for Women, will give the opening conference address.

Other sessions will feature local organisations from Waitaha Canterbury who are working to support women and girls, and NCWNZ Action Hub convenors and members will provide information about their mahi and explore new ideas with conference attendees.

The NCWNZ AGM will be held from 12.45–2.45pm and will be available in person and via Zoom.

A celebration dinner is also available to join for an additional fee. The event programme is available here

Non-members are welcome to join us for the Conference, NCNZ members can stay for the AGM.

NCWNZ Auckland branch, Te Ropü Wahine, Auckland Council's Women's Network, and Mãori Women's Welfare League invite you to commemorate Suffrage Day 2024! All people are welcome to join us in celebrating the anniversary of women's voting rights in Aotearoa.

Guest speakers will be: 

  • Cr Kerrin Leoni (Ngāti Paoa, Ngāti Whanaunga, Ngāi Takoto, Ngāti Kurī), Whau Ward Councillor 
  • Dr Claire Achmad, Chief Children's Commissioner

NCWNZ Christchurch Branch invite you to celebrate Suffrage Day 2024. All are welcome to join us in commemorating this milestone. Please feel free to bring your own white camelia to put on the memorial at the end of the celebration.

NCWNZ Wellington Branch, Graduate Women Wellington and Zonta Club of Wellington invite you to the Annual Women's Debate 2024. This debate intends to put women and gender at the centre of a conversation about the economy. Become collectively informed at the #NZWomensDebate24 and learn more about how economic empowerment for women and gender minorities can contribute to a more #GenderEqualNZ.
