The fight for Human Rights for women and all our citizens, continues to be the basis of all our action. In this vein, the Justice and Law Reform Standing Committee has put forward another remit aimed at addressing human rights abuses in our public policy. This remit is on the right of all individuals regardless of marital or relationship status to an unemployment benefit, sickness or disability benefit, if they are faced with situations in which they are no longer able to earn their own income.
